Site Prep and Forming

When is the best time of year to pour concrete in Minnesota? +

Concrete needs consistent above-freezing temperatures to cure properly, and cold pours run the risk of frost getting into the slab before it gains strength. Frost depth in Minnesota runs roughly 42 to 60 inches, which is why proper subbase prep matters year-round. We can pour into the shoulder seasons with the right precautions, but if your timeline is flexible, planning for the warmer months gives the best long-term result.
